The Cincinnati NAACP joins Allied Construction Industries (ACI). "The Cincinnati NAACP is joining forces with ACI to level the economic playing field. Our members are excited to work with Joe Hummel, the Executive Director of ACI," Christopher Smitherman, president of the Cincinnati NAACP says.
July 13, 2010 . Cincinnati NAACP Media Release . The Cincinnati NAACP joins Allied Construction Industries (ACI) founded in 1929. ACI is a critical player in the construction industry. The Cincinnati NAACP is establishing relationships with institutions that we believe can assist African American businesses in getting information to compete for contracts. "The Cincinnati NAACP is joining forces with ACI to level the economic playing field. Our members are excited to work with Joe Hummel, the Executive Director of ACI," Christopher Smitherman, president of the Cincinnati NAACP says. . Cincinnati NAACP members are encouraged to call (513) 221-8020 to gather information from ACI on every construction project happening in a 65 mile radius. ACI has already begun compiling a list of minority businesses that have capacity to work on construction sites. "This is an exciting partnership between ACI and the Cincinnati NAACP. We are excited to announce that Joe Hummel has joined the Cincinnati NAACP. If Cincinnati is going to move forward it must desegregate the dollar," Smitherman says. This is a positive development for the Cincinnati NAACP. |
