CINCINNATI, OHIO - JANUARY 2, 2011 - The Cincinnati NAACP will target
the election of Cincinnati School Board Members in 2011. Three School
Board Members are up for re-election in November 2011. The Cincinnati
NAACP was shocked that the School Board failed to extend contracts to
African American Businesses. The School Board has failed to institute
radical reforms that resulted in all CPS children getting a fair
opportunity for an excellent education. "The Cincinnati NAACP
encourages candidates to run for School Board. The Cincinnati NAACP
members are looking for strong candidates to elect to the School Board
in November 2011. The Cincinnati NAACP is organized and prepared to
cast votes for candidates that are interested in educational reforms,
contract fairness, and putting children first," Christopher
Smitherman, president of the Cincinnati NAACP says.
